Jason Young

FOUNDER, MANAGING PARTNER

Jason is an entrepreneur and investor focused on acquiring operating companies through Blue Path Partners.

He spent 20 years as a commercial real estate developer and investment manager. Jason is a DFW native who started his career with Crow Holdings in Dallas, then spent six years in Washington, D.C. with some of regions most respected developers including the JBG Companies and JPI. Following the global financial crisis Jason returned to Texas joining SRP Medical, a boutique development firm founded by two former Staubach Company partners. The newly founded firm focused on healthcare development and Jason helped launch the company’s senior living platform, which was a new product for all sponsors. He managed the platform from initial concept, leading the growth to multiple locations and ultimately successfully exiting the business years later.

Jason’s entrepreneurial drive, balanced with his disciplined investment approach required for managing money on behalf of institutional partners, helped him successfully launch similar platforms for other firms. Through his career he’s created over half a billion dollars in new real estate value.

A graduate of Southern Methodist University, he studied at SMU’s Cox School of Business. He also comes from a family of entrepreneurs; his father and grandfather were both contractors focused on single family lot developments in Dallas/Ft. Worth starting in the 1970’s and still serving national homebuilding clients today.  Outside of work, Jason prioritizes time with his wife and two children.

This network includes experienced business owners, former executives, functional leaders, and other industry specialists who help support every stage of the investment process — from the initial evaluation of the business to diligence, capitalization, support for the transaction, and operations guidance post-acquisition.

Blue Path invests its own capital and will selectively co-invest with like minded partner relationships. In all cases our approach is grounded in aligned incentives and a long-term ownership mindset.
